I don’t think she’s getting passed up. Since LA, she’s done a lot of traveling, so I don’t think she’s really been back in the swing of things in the past month or so. 

I was astounded at how many times I heard (and not from fangirls!) people at the Miser reading saying “I’m here for Jan Maxwell. I’m talking older people and theater bigwigs. Dana Ivey went to see her. What I’m saying is she’s not being turned down for anything, she’s just not getting many offers. There also isn’t much happening right now. Really, she should have been in Virginia Woolf. Amy Morton is perfect and everything I know, but I wish with everything I have that it had been hers. 

I wish I had more of an answer, nonny. At least she’s being asked to do these benefits and stuff, because that’s really keeping her name fresh, and she’s knocking them out of the park.
